whats on my maind? i wont to grt my license for the summer if i do im going have so much fun my mama just put the mustang in the pant shop to get evrey thing dun all over agen man i have not stored up that car in a yeare or to and when i did it just came right on it sound so good i got in it right and smached on the gas that shit seled on me i was like o.m.g. then i parked it in frunt of my house and called my mama so we can go jrop it off at the shop so i got on the freeway with it i was flying all the way to 190th street when i got there my mama pulled up on me and was like dont be driveing like that no more we got home i called my girl up on my phone i toled her when the car dun we going to arond the world and back she was like you crazy boy. Then my mama called me and was like come on letsgo get this other car then.

WOMAN by Nikki Giovanni

In this poem I feel that the character wants to be independent from a man. She feels this way because maybe she feels down because she wants to do something but he won't let her.the poem says. "She wanted to be a blade of grass amid the fields but he wouldn't agree to be the dandelion she wanted to be a robin singing through the leaves but he refused to be her tree"

When she is looking to be comforted he tells her no so she go's and look for a safe place to rest. The poem says "She spun herself into a web and looking for a place to rest turned to him but he stood straight declining to be her corner."

In this poem the man is pulling her down. Maybe he just not suporting her Like she wants him to. Or maybe she just wants to be independ from a man.
